“If I waited for PERFECTION I would never write a word.” —Margaret Atwood
This week’s fodder is very timely for me. I’ve just sent a very early draft of my creativity book to my agent, despite the fact that it is a hot mess. This makes me wildly uncomfortable, but every project has to start somewhere. As I wrote in my third novel, “There’s no such thing as perfect. There’s only trying, and sometimes failing, and that’s okay.” Is perfectionism holding you back at all? Can you give yourself the freedom to fail forward? As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

I have this tattooed onto my arm as I am a reluctant perfectionist, which doesn't help with my creative flow.
Perfectionism has held me back in the past. Lately it’s just slowing me down. So, that’s progress. LOL
