Rejection is redirection
Your weekly fodder
Rejection is redirection.
If you’ve ever received feedback on your creative endeavors, you know that even minor criticisms can hit like a brick wall to the face. I think of this as the moment when I reach a dead end in a maze. All I have to do is turn and redirect my effort. Yes, it stings to hit a dead end, but the greater adventure is finding your path through the maze and reaching the finish line with your project. We may not always know how we’re going to get there, but if we keep trying, we generally make progress. If this post resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Good idea, and quite useful. It connects to the idea of REFRAMING. Sometimes we feel so much better, and more creative and freer, when we describe a situation differently like you did. Doors open instead of staying closed.
when I was teaching, it always made me sad to see the kids who struggled with taking any kind of feedback. I think our education system for a while has really pushed for perfection and many adult adults have to learn that rejection actually isn’t a negative.
