“Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play.” - Heraclitus
We do our best work when we remember to play. How can you incorporate more playfulness into your work today? Set a timer and play for five minutes. Find your flow. Connect with your inner child and it will lead to your very best work. I would love to hear of any connections this bit of fodder sparked for you in the comments.
P.S. I'm evolving my newsletter into a weekly dose of fodder to spark your (and my) creativity. These will be brief, punchy, and arrive every Tuesday. Visit the website for more content, including deep dives on creativity, and please do share :)
This one is so relevant for me right now!
I’m a full time contemporary artist based in Australia 🇦🇺
I have always done “play panels” before each painting session as a way of warming up and exploring my inner child.
This week I had such a huge breakthrough that has completely shifted my whole way if working. All of our best work comes from a place of play!
Happy creating!
