Can we start again?
Your weekly fodder
“Does that make sense? I’m not making sense; can we start again?” —Max Brooks, from World War Z
I’ve been reading World War Z this month, which I find a truly fascinating piece of literature to explore while so much of the world is in crisis, just like in the novel. As always, I am astonished by the power of stories to unite us. Stories help us communicate. They help us see each other. They give us hope and joy in challenging times. Stories allow us to start over, as many times as needed, with no shame for having learned the hard way. I’m taking off the rest of 2024 to savor the joy of life. I’ll be back Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 (that date feels like science fiction!!!) to start again, with lots of weird quotes and doodles to spark your creativity. No matter where you are around the world, and above, I wish you joy and peace. See you in 2025! ❤️
